Check a wallet's BSC network configuration

A BSC wallet configuration should resolve to BNB Smart Chain mainnet, chain ID 56. The network name is a human-readable label; the chain identifier and endpoint determine the network the wallet actually queries and uses.

These values appear in BNB Chain's wallet configuration guide and BSC endpoint documentation. Additional endpoints may serve the same chain; an endpoint choice does not create a different token balance.

Check an existing entry before adding another

If the wallet already supports BSC, inspect the existing entry. Adding several differently named entries for the same chain can make account views confusing without adding useful capability. The main question is whether the wallet, quote and receipt all refer to chain 56.

After selecting the network, confirm the intended account address. Network selection and account selection are separate controls. A correctly configured BSC connection to the wrong account still shows the wrong spending balance for the intended trade.

Next, identify any token by its BSC contract. Network configuration makes the wallet able to query that ledger; it does not guarantee that every token appears automatically, that an exchange withdrawal used the correct network, or that a DEX supports the desired pair.

For a practice environment, use the official testnet configuration instead and keep it clearly labeled. Do not edit a mainnet entry to a test endpoint while leaving the original name, because that makes later quote review harder to interpret.
