XAUt on BSC: tokenized gold in a swap

XAUt on BSC is a gold-linked token, so a quote should be read in gold-token units rather than as a one-dollar stablecoin exchange. Tether's March 2026 BNB Chain announcement states that one full XAUt represents one troy fine ounce of gold.

The issuer's integration page lists its BSC contract as 0x21cAef8A43163Eea865baeE23b9C2E327696A3bf. This deployment evidence is specific to XAUt. It should not be reused as evidence that another Tether product has the same issuance arrangement on BSC.

Interpret a fractional quote

Suppose a hypothetical trade spends 500 USDT and quotes 0.1 XAUt. The output is one tenth of an XAUt token, whose reference unit is one tenth of a fine troy ounce. The implied trade rate is 5,000 USDT per XAUt before separately accounted expenses. This is arithmetic for reading a quote, not a current gold price.

That distinction matters when comparing interfaces. A screen displaying the cost of one token and another showing a small fractional purchase can look very different while describing the same unit rate.

Token execution and physical redemption are separate

A BSC DEX trade transfers XAUt tokens between on-chain accounts. It does not by itself arrange delivery of a gold bar, satisfy an issuer's redemption requirements or turn the balance into physical possession. Check current issuer terms if physical redemption is the intended exit.

For ordinary on-chain use, verify the recipient network, exact contract and executable amount. Keep native BNB available for the BSC transaction unless a supported service explicitly handles the fee.

Gold exposure also means that a stable-looking token name does not imply stable dollar value. The relevant comparison is the market price of gold exposure plus the token's own execution and custody considerations.
