For a BNB Smart Chain trade, comparing 1inch with PancakeSwap is useful when you compare actual modes and routes. It is less useful to label one “aggregator” and the other “single DEX” and assume the result follows automatically.
PancakeSwap’s Smart Router documentation describes multiple liquidity sources, including pool versions and market makers, with route controls. 1inch offers transaction-based aggregation and resolver-filled Fusion orders. Both interfaces therefore need a more precise description than a brand-level category.
Two valid comparison questions

The second question changes the workflow. Fusion lets resolvers fill an order under its conditions; a first token approval may still require native gas. Do not compare its quoted receipt with a transaction quote while omitting the latter’s separate BNB cost.
Keep route controls visible
PancakeSwap allows users to alter source and route settings. A restricted quote is not representative of the default source set. If you intentionally exclude a source, record that as part of the comparison rather than interpreting the resulting difference as an unexplained provider weakness.
Use the same BNB token contracts, amount, receiving account and time window. Check both the expected receipt and minimum accepted receipt, plus any required setup. If the aggregator uses PancakeSwap liquidity, that overlap is informative: it does not require identical execution because other sources, splits and order mechanisms can differ.
