PancakeSwap route settings and missing quotes

If PancakeSwap stops finding a route after you customize routing, inspect the restrictions first. You may have excluded a source or path required for that exact token pair.

The official settings guide describes liquidity-source selection, multihops and split routing, together with a reset-to-default option. These controls change the search space, not just the way a route is drawn.

What each restriction removes

• Disabling a source prevents its liquidity from being considered.
• Disabling multihops restricts the ability to pass through intermediate pools.
• Disabling split routing prevents dividing the trade among alternative paths.

A token may have no direct pool against your desired output but still have an indirect route. Excluding intermediate paths can therefore produce no quote even when a broader route exists.

A controlled troubleshooting sequence

1. Record the current network, asset addresses and amount.
2. Inspect the active routing preferences.
3. Restore the default route settings if you no longer need the restrictions.
4. Request a fresh quote with the same trade parameters.
5. Review the newly proposed route before deciding whether to execute.

Do not combine this check with a large slippage increase. Otherwise, a changed result will be difficult to attribute and you may permit an unnecessarily poor execution outcome.

When to retain a restriction

If you excluded a source for a documented risk or policy reason, a better default quote does not resolve that concern. Decide whether the route is acceptable on that basis rather than restoring every source automatically.

For future comparisons, save the settings with the quote. Two interfaces can appear to disagree simply because one is solving a much narrower routing problem. A screenshot of output amounts alone will not reveal that difference.
