No swap route found: liquidity problem or unsupported token?

“No route found” means the application could not produce an executable path under its current constraints. It does not establish that the token is worthless, safe, or impossible to trade anywhere.

Start with the request itself

1. Verify the input and output contracts on the selected chain.
2. Check the connected account’s input balance and the amount format.
3. Confirm the application supports that chain and route type.
4. Compare a smaller amount without signing to see whether size affects availability.

MetaMask’s routing-error guidance connects unavailable quotes with liquidity conditions and suggests checking the requested amount and assets. Different aggregators search different supported venues; their coverage is not identical.

Do not confuse a listing with an exit

A token can appear in a search list while lacking a usable pool, compatible router or permitted transfer. A price chart or wallet valuation does not guarantee an executable sell route. Unusual token fees and restrictions may also make a candidate path unusable.

If another genuine application quotes the same contracts, compare its permissions, recipient and final economics before considering it. Do not enter a recovery phrase into a site advertising a special “liquidity unlock.”

A useful support report includes the chain, both token contracts, amount and time. It should ask whether the route is unsupported, temporarily unavailable or constrained by the token. Those answers are more actionable than repeatedly changing slippage when no route has even been built.
